CONTINUING THROUGH OCTOBER THE ALASKA-YUKON-PACIFIC CENTENNIAL
From May through October of this year, Seattle and Washington state are celebrating the centennial of the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific (AYP) Exposition, held from June 11 to October 16, 1909. Originally intended to celebrate the growth of Washington since the Alaska gold rush, the exposition expanded to include the growing importance of Pacific trade.
To join the celebration, we are featuring art work illustrating Northwest history from that period. We've also added links to key AYP Centennial websites on our Links page.
